Taking It to the Next Level ...
It’s that time of year again when everyone looks forward to enjoying Buffalo’s great summers but Fall will follow shortly thereafter and with that comes the much awaited PMI Buffalo Chapter’s 2010 Fall Professional Day. In celebration of our chapter’s 15th anniversary we are looking for candidates for Project Of The Year. Prior honorees have included such notables as Rich Products, Army Corps of Engineers, the West Valley Demonstration Project, Praxair and Delphi, among others. PMI Buffalo is up to 490 members! We have only a short way to go to get to 500 members. I thought I'd take a moment to remind you of our Buffalo 500 Membership Drive. Every time you refer a new member to our Chapter, you’ll both be entered into our “Buffalo 500” drawing. The winning referring member will receive $500 and the winning new member will receive an iPod Nano.

Fall PMP Exam Prep Courses |
|
Two (2) PMP Exam Prep courses are being planned for Fall 2010. Each course will consist of 11 classroom sessions - 1 evening per week, and classes will begin in September.
The course locations, day of the week, cost, and registration information are currently being finalized. Details are expected to be available in early August.

PMI Buffalo Plans to Provide Assistance to Community Nonprofits PMI Buffalo is embarking on an innovative program to promote project management best practices to project leaders from nonprofit organizations by harnessing the talents and knowledge of PMI Buffalo membership. The Project Management for Nonprofits Program is designed to provide training and mentoring to program participants. A key component of this program is the Project Management Toolbox for Nonprofits - a set of best practice templates in electronic format to assist with execution of projects.
