President's Message & Press release

As the kids head back to school, the PMI Buffalo Chapter is gearing up for its Fall events. We have dinner and breakfast meetings, a professional day, and certification education sessions lined up for the September – December time period. The link to the full Fall Program Line-up has appeared in the last two weekly emails and is available to download from our website.

Although we took our usual break from programming during the summer, your Board was occupied with its annual Orientation session for Board and Directors in July, and its annual Strategic Planning in August. Please see the upcoming article in our newsletter describing the Strategic Planning activity.

We have included several communications in our weekly emails this summer which provided details on the reasons for PMI's changes to its Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) program. We also have an article on our website's home page. Please familiarize yourselves with this new categorization of knowledge, and PDUs, so that you are ready for the upcoming changes. As of December 1st, we will be designating our events as one of the three Talent Triangle skill sets: Technical, Leadership, or Strategic & Business expertise.
