Presidents Message - December 2024

A word from the President

Hi PMI Buffalo Members,

As I conclude my term as the Interim President of our esteemed Buffalo Chapter of the Project Management Institute, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each one of you for your support and commitment.  It has been an honor to serve in this capacity, particularly under such dynamic circumstances, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together during the last two years.

I must extend my heartfelt appreciation to our outstanding board members, whose dedication and resilience have been the driving force of our success.  Their collaborative spirit and tireless efforts have led to several proud accomplishments that have strengthened our chapter.  We have witnessed a notable increase in member engagement and volunteerism through a series of highly successful events, both in-person and virtual.  As a chapter, we listened to our members' feedback and proudly delivered two very successful Professional Development Days (PDDs) this year.  Additionally, we hosted a series of events featuring topics and speakers tailored to provide a hyper-Buffalo focus.  Our talented volunteers revamped our web content, enhanced our formidable social media presence, and upgraded the technology we use to deliver value to our membership all year round. Furthermore, we launched new programs aimed at making it easier for our members to attain PDUs and pursue certification training.

These achievements are a testament to the board's vision and commitment to our mission, despite any challenges that came our way.  As I pass the baton to our incoming President, Vince McKeown, I am confident that the Buffalo Chapter of PMI will continue to thrive and set new standards of excellence in project management.

Thank you once again for your trust and support.

Sincerely,

Dan Augustynek

Interim President, Buffalo Chapter of PMI
