President's Message - February, 2014
A Message from PMI Buffalo Chapter President JoAnn Boehm
Hello to all of our members, prospective members and followers!
The PMI Buffalo Chapter's Board and all of our volunteers look forward to serving you this year - through our dinner and breakfast events, professional days, educational sessions, outreach and volunteer opportunities, and all of our member services.
We have an exciting list of informational and educational dinners lined up for you - Project of the Year "runner up" presentations, Economic development in WNY, Communication power and Ride for Roswell. We'll have professional days in both Spring and Fall. And let's not forget our monthly breakfast meetings - which are a great way for you to share your knowledge as well as learn from fellow project managers. Lastly, we will be celebrating all of our accomplishments at our Volunteer Recognition and Annual Meeting events.
The PMI Buffalo chapter offers over 100 volunteer (aka PDU) opportunities to you - whether you are a member or not. Volunteer contributions can begin with just a couple of hours a month of your time. Working side by side with fellow project managers in your volunteer role also brings opportunities for new learnings, peer-to-peer mentoring, and giving back to your profession. So please consider joining us as a volunteer this year!
We also hope you will consider joining our chapter because you will receive discounts on event costs that far outweigh our chapter membership fee. Engage with us and you will experience even more benefits.
So buckle up, and settle in for the ride! We look forward to being your guides through this upcoming year!
As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to write me at president@pmibuffalo.org
