President's Message - July, 2015
Your PMI Buffalo Chapter Board wishes you a safe and fun summer!
While we take a break from our regular programming of dinner and breakfast meetings, professional days and education sessions, your Board will be performing its Strategic Planning for the 2016-2018 timeframe. Every other year, for the past 6 years, we have been collaborating with other PMI chapters as we go through our strategic planning. This year we will actually be meeting with three other chapters: Rochester, Erie PA and Southwest Ontario. This year we will be meeting at the Hyatt in downtown Buffalo for a full day and a half on August 8th-9th.
We have already met with our Directors to brainstorm such topics as our Mission and Vision; our Stakeholders; our SWOC – strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges; and our key Strategic Issues and key Strategies. If you would like to provide feedback on any of these areas, please feel free to email me at president@pmibuffalo.org to share your thoughts and insights.
We will be publishing our Fall line-up later this month and believe you will be pleased with the variety of events and education opportunities we will be offering. We will be designating the events as one of the three Talent Triangle skill sets: Technical, Leadership, Strategic & Business expertise. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourselves with this new categorization of knowledge by reading PMI’s and PMI Buffalo’s emails on the changes being made to the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) program.
