The Keirsey Theories of Personolgy, helping Project Managers to be their best.
Learn how knowing about our Keirsey type can help us as Project Managers in very concrete, useful ways.
Before attending, please take the free Keirsey Temperament Type test online:
Go to Keirsey.com and click the START button in the middle of the page. Take the test; it will take about 10 to 15 minutes. When done, you will be told you are either an Artisan, Guardian, Idealist or Rational type. Make note of which you are and bring it to the meeting. You do not need to buy any reports. The test is designed to identify your core inborn Temperament Type. Answer the questions with what is most natural to you, what you would answer if you weren’t in your current circumstance, if you hadn’t been trained to behave a certain way – what your preference is.
Keirsey Assessments are the product of more than seven decades of research on human behavior. The Keirsey Temperament model first appeared in the bestselling books, Please Understand Me® and Please Understand Me II, by Dr. David Keirsey. The Keirsey tools have been translated into 18 different languages, and has been used by over 50 million people from 140 different countries. The Keirsey Assessments are the most widely utilized temperament and personality assessments in the world, designed to help you transform your understanding of who you are, why you do what you do, and how to build effective relationships.
Cheryl is a retired Project Manager, beginning her career in 1979. She became a PMP in 2005 and joined the Buffalo PMI Chapter, enjoying her chapter role of semi-annual guest trainer in the Certification Training program, which helped to sharpen her own skills while helping other people to become PMPs. In 1993 she took a Personology workshop through her work at M&T Bank which provided personality testing and training based on the Keirsey theories, a 2nd generation of the Myers Briggs theories. “It made a big difference in how I managed projects and in my relationships.” After retiring from full time project management work, Cheryl became a Keirsey Temperament Certified Professional (TCP). Now she uses her PM experience combined with Personology to help other PM’s be their best.
