The evening will also include a memorial to Steve Tunmore, PMI Buffalo Marketing Director and 2020 President elect, tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in July. Steve's son Mitch will join us and be presented the PMI Buffalo statue in honor of his father.
Jacob Walsh is an MBA ’20 candidate with a passion for entrepreneurship and startup ventures. With an academic background in operations and data analytics, he is aiming to help drive new business creation in Buffalo, New York. Jacob participated in the Costa Rica Global Perspectives trip earlier this year and will participate in the upcoming trip to India next year because he is hoping spread his knowledge for small business operations to developing communities and simultaneously learn how other cultures and socioeconomic systems interplay with business development.
Sonya Tareke is an MBA ‘20 candidate with a general management concentration. She has targeted UB School of Management opportunities with a socially conscious mission; on-campus as a School of Management Global and Career Ambassador and off-campus as a Brand Ambassador for the Tool Library, located in the University Heights district. Combining international business with both local and global impact has led to her current path in pursuit of a two-pronged career; a marriage between the social enterprise sphere coupled with the higher education industry.
