Topic: Manufacturing - how do we work here?
What does it mean to be a Project Manager in Manufacturing? Is project management methodology “accepted” in the manufacturing sector? Is it waterfall? What does an Agile framework look like for Manufacturing projects?
It would seem the possibilities for projects in this sector are endless – from new product creation to implementing process improvements. Yet, one can only imagine that they must also come with their own unique set of challenges. Or, are the challenges the same as those faced on any other project – from resource constraints to teamwork challenges to communications and beyond?
Do you have practical experience with these challenges? What tips do you have or information would you like on this topic?
During this meeting, we will discuss our collective experience and challenges on this topic, as well as available suggestions and information on the way that our industry should be approaching these and other questions relating to the profession of Project Management.
This interactive event is an opportunity to gather area Project Managers to discuss issues that affect our work and careers. Participants are encouraged to share their challenging experiences and benefit from the combined knowledge of attendees. Also, this meeting is a great way to network, get answers to your questions about your projects and get greater benefit from your PMI membership. Please bring your challenges, suggestions, valuable articles, or resources on this topic.
