Project Management for Nonprofits (PM4NP) is a program of training, mentoring and an e-toolbox of forms and templates designed to bring project management best practices to Western New York charitable organizations.

The PM4NP Program is open to individuals employed at eligible charitable organizations.  It runs annually from September through March.   The program begins with  24 hours of scheduled training (over 6 weeks) in September and October, followed with mentoring over the next six months by a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).  Participants receive access to the PM4NP Toolbox of electronic forms and templates to help facilitate implementation of project management best practices in their organizations.

Project Management for Nonprofits was originally designed and piloted during 2009-2010 in conjunction with the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.  To date, the program has reached 38 individuals from 32 nonprofit organizations.  It was the recipient of the 2011 PMI  Community Advancement Through Project Management Award, Component Category
