Building a PMO using the PMO-value Ring Framework

Dr. Fiandalo is a PMO expert who successfully transitioned academic project management into PMI-aligned frameworks. He established the AACR GENIE Coordinating Center PMO using the PMO Value-Ring methodology created by the PMO Global Alliance (PMO-GA). The PMO-Value Ring framework is the central component of the PMI PMO-CP. Dr. Fiandalo's journey to project management began as an instructor of oncology (Young Faculty Appointment) at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Urology Department, where he managed over 15 research projects, focused on steroid metabolism and prostate cancer. He further enhanced his project management skill sets with this transition to Clinical Research Services as a regulatory research coordinator where he simultaneously oversaw development of the three newly discovered compounds and managed the regulatory components of 96 active pediatric clinical trials, which resulted in an annual review with 0 deficiencies.
